I love the Ant-Man comics so much! Its my favourite Marvel comic series. So I couldn’t wait to see this movie, and I have to say…Marvel, thank you! Ant-Man is an amazing movie!Scott Lang is a thief who wants to become a better guy, but he one day tries to steal the ant-man suit, so Hank Pym trains him to become a hero and to steal the yellowjacket suit, that could end the world!
The visuals are extremely impressive and stunning to look at! There are some great bright colours and nice set designs! The Ant-Man suit looks so so good and has to be my favourite MCU hero design. Yellowjacket also looks very good, and badass! The filmmakers nailed the characters’ personalities. Scott Lang is the everyday guy who is trying to redeem himself. Hank Pym is wise and tough! Hope Van Dime is helpful and Darren Cross is an evil psycho! I am very disappointed with Maggie (Scott’s ex-wife) she is just there, doesn’t do much and is overall bland! I also didn’t think it was necessary to change her name from Peggy to Maggie, but that’s just a small nit-pick.
The performances from the actors were really good! Paul Rudd is really awesome in this! He is the perfect choice to play Scott Lang / Ant-Man! Michael Douglas is great as Hank Pym. Evangeline Lilly is good as Hope. Corey Stoll is really good as Darren Cross / Yellowjacket. I really like the comedy in the film! Its actually pretty funny and timed well. Its also evenly spread out. The dialogue is pretty solid, some lines were dumb, but hey, its called Ant-Man! The action scenes are very well done, there aren’t many, but every time there is one, it gets the heart pumping! Ant-Man is a beautifully made movie that offers a great mix of action, comedy, drama and heist elements!

The final battle between Yellowjacket and Ant-Man is so good! I laughed when Thomas the tank engine grew larger and made a huge hole in the roof! The last 3 minutes of the film is a weird, trippy and beautiful scene where Ant-Man has broken time itself and is flouting around in particles! Its visually interesting! I loved the part where Darren Cross said “Tales To Astonish” which is the first comic that Hank Pym was featured in! Falcon is in this movie and he fight Ant-Man! Its so amazing! I was disappointed with Stan Lee’s cameo. The Wasp is featured in a flashback and an mid-credit scene! I’m not a fan of the suit design. Hank Pym wears the Ant-Man suit in a flashback too! So awesome! The after-credit scene features Cap, Falcon and Bucky! My jaw dropped!
